Steve Murra will be inducted into the Iowa Rugby Hall of Fame during the induction ceremony being held on Saturday afternoon May 6th at the All Iowa Rugby Tournament in Iowa Falls. A local artist was commissioned shortly after Steve’s passing to do a painting of Steve. The person who commissioned the painting and the artist were both good friends of Steve. A reproduction print is available in 13 x 19 for a suggested donation of $10 the day of the induction ceremony in Iowa Falls. They will be available after for a suggested donation of $20 that will cover shipping and packaging. 100% of the proceeds will be given to Steve’s wife Jennifer to help with family expenses. All costs of the prints, packaging and shipping have been covered by other generous donations.
After the Hall of Fame induction ceremony there will be a short memorial service that will include the spreading of Steve’s ashes on field one. Old Boys games to follow the service. Old guys and gals bring your boots….this would be exactly what Steve would want us to do! Please come join us for a time of remembrance and fellowship the afternoon of May 6th in Iowa Falls.
